I’ve been passionate about tinkering, electronics, and computers since I was young. In 2016, I discovered 3D printing, and it quickly became more than just a hobby—it became my mission.
With over a decade of IT experience in support, project management, and systems administration, along with earning my Eagle Scout rank in 2007, I founded TH3D Studio to make 3D printing easier and more accessible. My goal is to help makers spend less time troubleshooting and more time printing.

TH3D is based out of Hobart, IN. All of our team members are in the US, we do not outsource any of our positions to people outside the US.
We run a hybrid of onsite and remote employees to maximize efficiency and coverage of our customers that are all over the world. We have a dedicated team of people who only handle customer service and technical support requests.
Honest Reviews
Unlike other people in the 3D printing space who rely on making sales through affiliate programs, we do not. We will always be honest when reviewing a 3D printer even if there are issues.
Many channels (especially ones that work with Bambu Labs) are bound by agreements where they cannot be honest with you on negative aspects of products.

Our focus is to get our customers the best products at fair prices. We’re all makers here, and we know how frustrating getting cheap parts from China is and not getting what you wanted the first time.
Everything we carry are parts and products that we use on our in-house machines to make our lives easier. There is enough to worry about in this hobby/industry so let us help simplify your 3D printing life by ensuring you get quality parts and excellent support.
When we design products, we take the time to run them through stress testing and analysis to make sure they work and last. Unlike many vendors in the 3D printing market, we do not use our customers to test our products, we sell products that work and are free of major design flaws.

I picked up a few of these as I have several 3D printers, two at work and one at home. Thermal runaway is something that always concerned me and this adds a strong layer of protection in this respect.
I run Octoprint on all three machines and the Tasmoto plugin is as the TH3D folks say, a seamless integration.
Setup was a breeze after watching the video in the support section.

My problems started when I tried to flash the firmware.
I had no idea what I was doing.
Sent a message off to get help and within an hour, Tim had replied.
I figured it would be a day or two.
Tim sent me the firmware file along with his instructions.
Done, finished, printing.
He takes his business and customer serious.
Thanks Tim.

So far so good. Perfect replacement belt for the x-axis on my anycubic kobra 2 pro.

Another nice upgrade for my K1 Max. The cover is flat and has great visibility, especially if you have overhead lighting. The screw hole center-to-center was a bit too narrow and did not line up well with the stock Creality handle, even without the plastic bushings. My K1 is a first gen unit so maybe Creality was mixing and matching handles or suppliers back then. I drilled the holes out slightly larger and was able to install the stock handle. it's not a big deal, and it was easy to fix, but something to be aware of if you have a first-gen K1.

Nice upgrade for my K1 Max. Easy replacement (highly recommend watching the video). The door is flat, all the screw holes lined up perfect, and the door fit great. The visibility into the build area is far better with this clear door compared to the stock tinted glass. The door and top cover arrived well packaged with no damage or warping. TH3d saw a problem and an opportunity to improve a component, then came up with a solution. Good job all around.
